Kitchen Remodel
The homes in the Lone Mountain area have been around since the mid 90’s. As such many are going through remodels particularly in areas where old tile counters or formica finishes were the norm. Stone counters were reserved for the high end homes, but now it is more affordable to include natural stone for counters and backsplashes like in this kitchen remodel.
The home owner that contacted us to remodel her kitchen, wanted a cleaner more open look to her new kitchen. She also wanted new appliances to match the color of cabinetry which was custom made to her specifications. The Cabinet Maker did a great job in producing each piece to match and meet its partner while our installers finished the job with great accuracy.
Doing demolition in a home is a fun endeavor as along as nothing is designed to stay as part of the new kitchen. When items are selected to stay, then the demolition has to be precise and methodical. Protection of area is very important no matter the type of demolition.
The picture above left shows the kitchen as it was originally built. The kitchen had a counter that housed the double sink and it ended at a slight angle to separate the kitchen from the breakfast area.
The walls around kitchen from dining room as well as on living room side were half walls. These walls were extended up to ceiling to support the new cabinetry.
New Kitchen
The new Remodeled kitchen met the owner’s expectations. The new lighting scheme along with the colors of the walls and cabinetry gives it a cleaner modern look.
