Plaza Bank Remodel
A couple of years back, we were approached by a designer regarding a commercial remodel project. The project involved some cosmetic improvements at Plaza Bank a local bank on West Flamingo. This remodel included an ADA required counter space which provided access to a wheelchair for a sink.
This was a fun project to do since it required us to do all the work after the bank had closed for the day. Since we have other subcontractors involved in the process, everyone had to adjust to the client’s schedule. This meant sometimes working into the night to stay ahead of schedule.
The picture shows the finished wall with a refreshment center for clients, including an under counter fridge as well as wall cabinetry. This stacked stone wall served as the focus of the room with the Bank’s logo clearly displayed in center of wall, which is the first thing clients see when they walk through the door. One of the initial challenges at the beginning of the remodel was to remove and conserve the lettering and logo to be placed back on the new wall.
We at Futures Building Company strive to maintain costs low so removing the logo and letters carefully would avoid having to add to cost by replacing the letters or logo.
New Walls
The wall at left is where the new wall with logo is while the wall at right is the new media wall. Behind the existing walls remain offices and or meeting rooms for the bank. These spaces were not affected at all other than losing sight into the bank’s public area.
The picture below shows both finished walls. The wall to the right shows the flat screen tv installed to showcase the bank’s products and at front of the refreshment area we installed floor tile making it easier to clean spills.
At Futures Building Company, no matter the project, we work to build the best. We work on the finer details to make sure that your vision is accomplished. Contact Us to talk about your project.
